Current customer information

Information on the current natural gas recall campaigns.

Volkswagen AG has initiated the exchange of the natural gas fuel tank for natural gas vehicles from various product lines with the recall campaigns 20X7, 20Y8 and 20X4. The Touran, Passat and Caddy model series are affected. Owners of the vehicles affected are asked to get in touch with a Volkswagen authorised workshop.

Enter the vehicle identification number below to find out if your Volkswagen is affected.

If your vehicle is affected, please consult a Volkswagen dealership as soon as possible. After performing the service campaign, you will receive a corresponding certificate about it from your Volkswagen dealership.

If your natural gas vehicle is NOT affected by the recall campaigns 20X7, 20Y8 and 20X4, you can obtain a safety certificate from Volkswagen customer service.

We ask for your understanding and support in completing this measure even if this unscheduled workshop visit may be an inconvenience. We value your trust in the Volkswagen brand and hope you will continue to be a loyal customer.
